Myofascial decompression:

After assessing your range of motion, your nervous system and posture, manual therapy may be utilized to release the neuromuscular and myofascial restrictions. This may include Myofascial Decompression (Cup Therapy), where small cups are placed on the skin using pneumatic pressure to decompress the tissue. The cups allow for a deeper release of tonic, tight muscles. They allow slow release of the myofascial layers, releasing trigger points and bringing blood flow and nutrients to the area. The cups are used within stretching and active movements which may be restricted for your individual movement patterns. The cups can leave red/purplish marks for up to 2 weeks. They may look like bruises, but they are not painful to touch.
