Neuromuscular re-education:

Neuromuscular re-education is provided to improve balance, coordination, kinesthetic sense, posture, and proprioception to a person who has had an injury, surgery or has a neurological disease (Parkinson’s, Multiple Sclerosis, or cerebral vascular accident (stroke), etc.) The goal is to develop conscious control of individual muscles and awareness of position of extremities. Yoga is an important part of this type of training, as it is the essence of mind-body awareness. Mind-Body Movement Center is not equipped to handle acute or more advance neurological diseases or presentations. We can see those that are somewhat independent or need minimal assistance, using a walking device or wheelchair for mobility. Please call if you are unsure if you might be appropriate for receiving care here.
